Exploration Mission Coal in Northern Afghanistan (Dare Sauf , and Dane Tor mines ) Oxian Minerals

AKS’s first contract for mining support was with Oxiana Minerals Consultants (OMC) in 2011-2012. OMC was engaged by the Ministry of Mines & Petroleum to conduct coal and mineral exploration across Afghanistan to support upcoming tenders. AKS provided a broad range of logistical and technical services.

• Exploration camp establishment, facility construction, and management
• Security risk analysis and threat assessment
• Provision of mobile and static security (armed/unarmed)
• Food and fuel supply
• Transport and logistics services, including provision of armoured vehicles and heavy, earth moving equipment (bulldozers, front-end loaders, water tankers)

• Recruitment and payroll services for national staff
• Government and security services liaison at national, provincial, and district/village levels
• Community liaison
• Legal advice and support in contract negotiations
• Taxation services
Visa and work permit services

All the services which carried out were on time and on budget. OMC highly commended AKS for their professionalism, reliability and high quality of services, and recommend them for future contracts.
