Support to Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) Five-year Strategy and Action Plan on Women Small and Medium Enterprise

AKS was contracted by GIZ-OPAF to analyze the current situation of WSME in Afghanistan and to develop a five-year strategic plan for the Directorate of SME and the Department of WSME in the Ministry of Commerce and Industries. The primary goal was to promote women-managed & operated businesses in Afghanistan. AKS developed the strategy in close cooperation with MOCI and conducted closed interviews with more than 200 women- owned businesses throughout Afghanistan. International donors facilitated and implemented programs to empower Afghan businesswomen.
